The rooms inside their home are largely shut off from one another, frequently linked by doors and archways as opposed to having a seamless connection. “I’m constantly yelling from one part of the home to my husband, who’s usually in the living room when I see something noteworthy back — usually a coyote, deer or fox,” says Souder. She and her husband needed to get used to wildlife.
